It had been a tough few weeks leading up to Lewis & Faye's wedding. Faye had planned the whole wedding with the life and soul of the family, her mum Linda. Unfairly Linda became ill last year and sadly didn't make it to the wedding day. The one thing Linda said to Faye on the lead up to the wedding was it must go ahead as planned, and that it certainly did.
The wedding was held at Rogerthorpe Manor, a great choice of venue and one I really enjoy shooting at, it has so many places for great wedding pics that I could have kept Lewis & Faye out in the cold all day!
I was joined by my good friend and fantastic photographer Chris Thornton, who kindly did some second shooting for me. Without a doubt Chris loves his job just as much as I do, oh and thanks for finding my camera mate ;-)
I arrived at the girls room bright and early to make sure I didn't miss any of the mornings action. Then it was on to an early ceremony giving us just enough time to grab some daylight pictures before the sun went down. Thanks to everyone for braving the cold, the clear sky's had meant it was far from warm but fortunately, by night time, it made for a great shot of Lewis & Faye having the star's look down on them.
In the evening we captured some emotional moments when Lewis & Faye lit a candle for Faye's mum then it was straight in to the first dance. And it was no ordinary first dance, great moves you two!! After that the dancing carried on well in to the night.
Well this wedding day was certainly a great celebration from start to finish, one thing I'm sure of is that Linda will have been looking down as one proud mum........ and mum-in-law.
